Let yourself be drawn by the pull of what you really love. - Rumi
For thousands of years, people have wondered why they are here and what they are here to do.
What first seems like an enigma – stillness and aliveness – shows itself to make perfect sense.
You will come alive in your life because you will be living the life you were perfectly designed for.
In the clutter that is our busy, noisy mind we cannot hear the whispers of our soul. By quieting the thoughts – most of us experience around 60,000 each day – we can settle enough to receive the gentle guidance that is already within us, just longing to be received.
So when life extends out its hand and invites you to dance with it, you need only extend yours. You enter the sacred space that is your “dance” where you are present in the moment, open to the fullness of life, able to flow with its shifting currents without resistance or the need to figure everything out, just allowing and accepting... dancing with life.
If you treat everything in your life as extraordinary, and the journey of your life as an extraordinary life, you will find it beautiful. This love and beauty will lead you to your life mission. If you follow the love and the beauty, it will always lead you there.
Daniel Goodenough, author of The Caravan of Remembering: A Roadmap to Experiencing the Awakening of your Life's Mission
Caravan Guide ~ James Tousignant
In my youth, I was a curious, slightly mischievous kid. In my teens, curiosity led me to explore religions and spirituality, longing to understand life on a deeper level.
In college I studied psychology and went on to earn my Doctoral degree, still seeking answers, solutions to problems... figuring stuff out. My analytic mind and a great education served me quite well at hitting life’s milestones, professionally and personally. Until one day it wasn’t enough. The “figure-outer” in me was deeply dissatisfied and unequipped for the bigger questions that occupied my mind “why am I here, what am I called to do, and who am I called to become?”
At just the right time, Daniel Goodenough, the author of Caravan of Remembering, brilliant thought leader on the subject of life mission, became a profoundly influential figure in my life. For more than 15 years now of working with Daniel as a teacher, mentor, and guide, I ‘ve had the privilege of guiding people on their own unique journey of remembering their why, what and who.
I am a Guide, not a guru. I simply offer tools and techniques, a roadmap of sorts, by which individuals can navigate through those questions, each in their own way and in their own time. It is a joyful experience when people step freely and fearlessly into this dance with life.
I hope to meet you soon,
James

Dancing with Life... the essence of presence
It’s 3 a.m. You can’t find the pause button to slow down a mind that won’t shut off. You just want to rest, to settle for a moment. For years you’ve tried to figure out what life was meant to be about. In truth, you’ve been seriously questioning your life, your work, your relationships, everything for a while. These early morning questions also stir your complacency. “Am I even on the floor for the right dance?” you ask.
You long to feel more aliveness in your life – to dance with life. It’s not about waiting for the storms to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain – to say yes to life and explore a new vision and way forward. When our very essence and reason for being is in question, we open ourselves to exploring ways to become more present in the world, and by doing so, bring more meaning to our own lives and blessings into the world. We can learn to slow our figuring mind and open more fully to life, dancing with the changes that life always brings.
Not even a doctoral degree in psychology, a storied career path spanning 40 years, and a keenly analytic mind were enough for James to figure out his own life mission. Instead, it was the day he woke up and said “Yes” to life and found himself on a journey of discovery, one that he describes as learning how to dance in the rain.
One of the key influencers in James’ life, for the past 15 years, is Daniel Goodenough, international teacher, mentor, and author of The Caravan of Remembering. James is now a Caravan Guide, supporting people with quieting their minds, opening their hearts, and connecting with an inner aliveness as they dance with life.
Step into life for the dance you were made for. Learn to dance in the rain, say “Yes” to living a fully alive, all lit up, life.
